Our client is looking for someone with a creative problem-solving skills to work on business opportunities that exist in North America Bottling system across a broad range of functional areas. A Data Scientist / Developer will work to understand high value opportunities and identify/build potential solutions, which often involve discovering new insights by transforming data into intuitive & interactive visualizations or applications. 


You will be part of the innovation team and will work on:
  • Understanding the business opportunity
  • Thinking through potential solutions (leverage what exists or build)
  • Work with business SMEs to
    • Building solutions
    • Conduct proof of concept
    • Pilot deployments for successful POCs to validate value from real test markets
    • Train pilot users and support during pilot
    • Help transition solutions to standard product/enterprise applications once success is proven through pilots

Some of the  in-flight projects are: 1) Generate computer suggested order for our customers 2) Allow users to query data via voice commands 3) Generate product recommendations 4) Space to sales optimization for vending machines 5) reducing customer churn 6) Unlocking cooler productivity using IoT devices

Technologies and concepts used at the client include Hadoop, Hive, Spark, SAP Hana,  Machine Learning algorithms and cloud computing technology such as Azure.

Demonstrated ability to learn is important as technologies used to build Innovation solutions will change

Desired Skills and Experience:  

  • Manage Peer relationship with Leads and Architects from other client functions
  • Participate actively in Bottler collaboration and Communication

  • A Master' s  degree/candidate in one of the following disciplines: computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or a closely related field

  • 3-4 years of work experience building solutions

  • A solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design 
  • Experience with or a demonstrable interest in machine learning and natural language processing
  • Experience with R, database design, and SQL
  • Self-directed and the ability to take ownership of projects 
  • Ability to code in at least one JVM based language (Java, Scala  etc.) and at least one scripted language (Python, javascript, etc.)
