Their IT team is focused on identifying and developing key opportunities to drive efficiencies and enable their growth ambitions.

Role: Using project requirements documents, technical design documents and resources, facilitate creation of a set of comprehensive test cases, including:
  • Data entry
  • Data cleanup
  • Data updates
  • Verification of current state
  • Application configuration
  • Equipment installation
  • Facilities setup: Full description of each test, Expected result of the test
  • Creation of test scripts that define the orchestration of all test cases, setup and resources in order to fully execute all testing necessary to ensure the requirements are fully met for the project. At minimum, each test script must include:
    • Test Case ID
    • Test Case Description
    • Setup required to perform the test
    • Resources that will perform the test
    • Date and time the test is to be performed
    • Expected result of the test
    • A place to log a description of the observed result of the test
    • A place to log the Pass/Fail indicator of the test
  • Creation of a test plan using test scripts, resource and project schedules. At minimum, the test plan must include:
    • Test schedule
    • Resource assignments
    • Communication plan
    • Defect tracking tools and protocols
  • Test Coordination activities according to test plan, scripts and cases, ensuring:
    • Testing starts and ends each day, per test plan and covers the planned testing for the period
    • Test results are logged as they are completed and per the test plan
    • Resources are appropriately assigned to resolve defects and issues
    • Test team members are alerted of delays
    • Status updates are provided at minimum twice per day and as per the test plan
    • Unresolved issues that have the potential to impact the test schedule are escalated to the Project Manager immediately
    • Facilitate user acceptance approvals of tested functionality
  • Ensure testing activities are completed as per defined scope, time, schedule and quality
  • Present / share status reports on testing progress to the stakeholders as per agreed frequency
  • Manage risks and issues. Ensure timely communication of risks and issues to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate completion and sign-off of test Strategy and test plan
  • Defect management, reporting and analysis
  • Ensure smooth completion of testing; Track completion all testing artifacts and deliverables on time.

Out of Scope:
  • Preparing and writing test scenarios and test cases
  • Prepare test data for System Integration Testing (SIT), regression testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Execute Smoke Testing, System Integration Testing and Regression Testing
  • Performance test case design and execution
  • Automation Testing
  • UAT Design and Execution
